You will never learn will you? This argument failed. Trump won. If you want to counter Trump this is NOT going to work. You need to present people and ideas that people can support.
People see this as a weak argument by those who do not have valid ideas to present.
I did not vote for Trump and I am sure I will dislike many of his choices but this kind of argument will change nothing.
We don't know if Donald Trump's dad is a KKK member, even if he was, that doesn't mean Donald Trump is a racist.
I have a friend who is a FORMER neo-Nazi, I met him in Germany. He is now reformed, but this doesn't mean that he believed Germany has no problems and should open doors to just about everybody in the world.
Depending upon your social context, holding certain attitudes toward a different racial or cultural group is a given. So, if you were a member of a racist family who had lived in a small little town over many generations, you would have grown up with the view that minority people are inferior. It takes great strength of character to resist these prevailing beliefs. Strength of character is a fine trait in a person.
Criticizing our current political system is not racist, Racism involves discrimination or unequal treatment. If you discriminate or treat someone differently based on their race then that is wrong.
Here we are in 2016 and our president-elect shamelessly cohorts with White nationalists and appoints them to important posts within his administration.
What message are those of us that are not White supposed to take away from that?
