Every law passed everyday by our government is one more right taken away from being free... you can't even have a lemonade stand without being harassed by police

Are the people in charge of our government outright traitors? We have established that our politicians represent foreign refugees, governments, and a variety of other groups before the interests of Americans. They let unvetted potential terrorists into the country with no discernable benefit to the country. They seek trade and political deals with foreign countries that don't benefit Americans.
Are they traitors or just grossly incompetent?
Absolutely traitors and corrupt to the core.
Nothing about them suggests any benevolence at all.
1. No, the word "traitor" has a very specific connotation: betrayal, not a difference of opinion.
2. Polls show that on issue after issue the population is fairly evenly divided. Therefore, politicians are going to disappoint almost half the population at any one time. It's a no-win proposition on MANY issues.
3. There are lots of ways to look at immigration as being a problem. It isn't just whether someone is legal or illegal, but also what they bring to the country, and some immigrants bring little that is good even when they are legal. There needs to be a tightening of immigration and immigration standards.
yes they are traitors, each and every one of them. the USA was always supposed to be a republic, not a democracy or a democratic republic, just a republic. the only thing that the USA was supposed to have democratic was its elections.
It's not just elected officials though, mohawkx. There are plenty of appointed and career bureaucrats that are part of the problem. Lois Lerner should be in prison.
And all those in the upper reaches of the Department of Forestry! Literally giving away timber to our greedy lumber companies, and that timber belongs to the public as these are public lands!
