And if I was the president (was the president)
The minute the congress called my name
I'd say now, 'who do, who do you think you're fooling (do you think you're fooling)"
"I've got a pen, I've got a phone, I'm up on the presidential podium"
"My peons love me, they love me, they get on their needs and hug me"
"They love me like a rock"

Send one of the outspoken moderate Muslim leaders who actively advocates peaceful, cooperative relations with Jews and Christians back to a country where a wannabe dictator with Islamist leanings can execute him on trumped up treason charges? Not. A. Chance. Turkey can go to hell. It seems to be headed that direction anyway.

If I was the President, this would be the last thing I'd be thinking about. I'd be trying to create chaos within the federal system to hasten its collapse.

if i were president, mr gulen would get a hearing based on our laws, since he is here in the US, and has taken up residency here. that means any evidence that the turks have against him, including witnesses, need to be brought here and face the scrutiny of our court system. if he is found to be in collusion with the conspirators. if not then i get to tell the turks to buzz off he says here in the US.

i would also tell them that if they wish to pull out of NATO to be my guest, but they must dot all the I's and cross all the T's and follow the letter of the treaty. and that they risk losing ALL support from the US as a result.

He is not Turkish Citizen in Exile, he is a moderate Muslim preaching peace, very educated. What would be your justification for sending him back, Erdogan hasn't even made his case. He has imprisoned around 100,000 teachers, public servants, police and military in one of the strangest coups I have seen, a coup without a leader. He is using this as an excuse to solidify his power and promote a more radical form of Islam.

A separate issue but he met with Putin this past week.

So you want to send Gulen back to a Turkish court for a fair hearing, based on what?
