...because sources need to know that they will remain anonymous and he doesn't want to discourage other people from giving him their information. On the other hand, he does want people to know that he suspects one of his sources was murdered. So he walks a fine line trying to balance those two interests.
Okay, I can see that. And if you're correct, his intention may have been just to say enough so his parents do further digging. Thanks, I get it now.
Holy crap - it's hard to wrap my head around the possibility of this. With all we've learned the last year or so about what's going on with the government, it's like everything I thought was right side up is now upside down.
It's funny how some people seem to think "conspiracy theory" is just a synonym for "crazy idea", as if humans never conspire to commit crimes, or develop legitimate theories to solve them.

The staffer may have been the victim of group of people who conspired to murder him. That's what a conspiracy is. The "theory" is how we explain that. At present the case is unsolved.
