If you study American history, you'll realize that it's almost "Unamerican" to agree on everything.

I don't think it's a bad idea as long as people follow the golden rule. If everybody agreed on everything, there would be less inventions, no originality, no creativity. We would stagnate.

We need people to ask why, and ask why not. We need people who when told certain things are just the way they and that nothing can be done about it, they go ahead and disprove such notions.

Great ideas are often born out of disagreements.

Good point!

Well...let's see. Can we all agree on the heliocentric model of our galaxy? Can we agree with Newton's laws? That could be a start.

unless you live in some alternate universe, America is in a recession or stagflation situation. What does the EU paying more of gas have to do with the price of rice in china? Example, you pay more for rent in NYC than say Nashville, but guess what? You get paid more so its relative.

It would be really dull and boring if everyone agreed with everyone else.

My alternative universe is Minnesota.........And my personal economy is doing just fine.. The industry that employs me is so secure that for it to fail would mean the abrupt demise of this country ....I've got 5yrs left on a 15yr note and more then enough saved up to pay it of if I wanted..... The comparision to gas in the EU was to illustrate that we in US shouldn't cry so much about the cost... If we really wanted to do something you wouldn't buy the stuff.
