The key to military tactical pitfalls is an embedded lack of understanding cultures. Most wars if not all have been religious based, but the military and especially its leaders are frequently nearly atheistic and literally out of the loop in dealing with fanaticism when they don't practice faith in any way!! The Nazi's, Japanese, Koreans, and even Vietnamese were all linked to religious motivation, ( Cult Activity, island gods ,pagan gods ). We Americans never have grasped waring religious factors and perhaps never will . We are ignorant as to how a people could die for a statue. surrounded by those candles...what? Hitler was preoccupied by cultish rituals and seeking the ark of the covenant etc. to power up his psyche. We need to understand that ISIS MUST rid the world of we dummies as their moon God demands....duh. This component of naive, ignorant and passivity will have a devastating impact on our survival...who woulda thunk? That damn religious card.
