Like it or not, illegal alien or illegal immigrant is 100% accurate
to describe someone who has snuck into a country illegally.

To argue against the obvious is stunningly ignorant.

Here's a Christian perspective:

Why We Need to Stop Using the Term "Illegal Immigrant"
I guess next we won 'r be able to call a criminal, "criminal"

"No, it's not accurate" What is NOT accurate about it. It describes a person who is HERE ILLEGALLY. Period.

If you are NOT an illegal, why would you be offended?

Juvenile Delinquents are supposed to be called "Justice Involved Youth" now, right?

I find the terms "college" and "professor" offensive and I demand my taxdollars not be used for them.

Progressives are dictatorial and treat speech they disagree with as illegal, just as their predecessors the National Socialist in Germany and Communists in Soviet Unio.

It's not liberals. It's low-grade right-wingers and nativist haters who claim they can tell that several people standing on the sidewalk are all illegal simply by driving past them. Or by hearing a store clerk speak to a customer in Spanish. Or by noticing that a person with an Hispanic surname was involved in an altercation.
Exactly. Well said.

I personally don't have a problem with the terminology. However I know the people that constantly use it don't use it just for people who are illegally here. These people try to fool us pretending they only dislike "illegal aliens" of all races(because they don't want to be labeled as a racist) but in reality they just assume most hispanics are illegals. So if you last name is Gonzalez or you speak Spanish you are automatically a "criminal illegal alien" who should be deported back to Mexico.

It would not matter if 100% of illegal immigrants were Hispanic, it still wouldn't be a racist term. Illegal immigrant(or alien) is a legal status, the race or culture of the person the status is assigned to is irrelevant. As far as assertions that any intelligent person would see the term as being offensive, that is just absurd. Intelligent people may have to ability to present their views more articulately, but intelligence does not free a person from the influences of bias, belief or treachery nor does it dictate a particular point of view. When it comes to any subjective assertion, intelligence or lack thereof is not necessarily a major factor that determining what someone's position is going to be.

If you are offended by being called him or her then you have serious mental problems.
