That or while Bill Clinton is busy back in Washington, D.C. checking out the latest female intern talent the Obamas will take over as New York City's new "power political" couple.

But first there will be one or more book deals.... You can only live but so well on a POTUS pension.

And the right wingers love to ask "what has Obama done for the blacks?"

Then when he does something, they start crying.

See what i mean.

Perhaps it's a good thing, but I am truly clueless about prison sentencing in the US. If you listen to politicians (mostly left, but some rights support this as well) you'd think people are getting ten years for stealing a candy bar.

But anytime I pick up the paper and read about any of the reported gsng shootings in nyc or other inner cities, the suspects / killers have arrest sheets pages long. That includes the guy that just killed nyc cop, Eric gardner's buddy who was awaiting trial on agg assault, armed robbery, etc. and seemingly every other example. I can't tell you the last time that I heard someone shooting a few people (non domestic) and he didn't have a crazy arrest record.

Just seems not to add up. Yes, black people are incarcerated at a higher rate. They also are convicted of murder (which is not a very subjective crime) at a rate 10x any other race - so maybe just maybe they are locked up more bc they commit more crime.
