No capitalism did not kill our gentle giant mr brown
Mugging killed him
Mugging has been proven By the American medical association to be hazardous to your health
Btw the first thing the communists do to muggers is work them to death in labor camps or put a bullet in their head
American fantasy romance with foreign governments they know nothing about is a cancer on CDf
According to some socialists and Marxists, who have some clout in this country now, maybe more than they did years ago, Capitalism is the cause of racism around the world and that capitalism killed Eric Garner, Michael Brown, etc. Thoughts?
Clicked on your second link first. Got to the first sentence: With these simple words, the great revolutionary martyr Malcolm X summed up a profound truth about the world we live in.
I was done. Lot of socialist threads floating around telling us how good Europe is and how bad America is. Never thought I'd see the day where so many have so much self loathing. Pitiful.
Racism is looking down upon or otherwise assigning a lesser value to a person because of his or her race alone.
Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of property (land, goods, services, cash and other mediums of exchange), in which the owner exchanges goods and services for (usually) money, with the owner retaining the surplus money for him or herself.
There is simply no logical equivalency between disdain for another (for whatever reason) and owning goods and services and selling them for profit.
At most, racist societies that happen to be capitalism lead to malfunctioning market systems (part of the reason many parts of the south even today are poor - their long legacy of slavery and discrimination distorted the local market system within those communities so that even today they are saddled with the effects of that system, even if they are no longer officially racist).
Example: WidgeCo produces widgets and sells them to the public for $10 per widget. Mr. White can produce 1000 widgets per hour, while Mr. Black can produce 1200 per hour. Under a well-functioning capitalist system, the WidgeCo owner would hire Mr. Black over Mr. White. Now if the WidgeCo owner were a racist (or forced by racist laws to hire Mr. White instead), then that costs WidgeCo 200 widgets per hour - or $2,000 per hour in gross sales revenue. This is effectively the same as WidgeCo throwing [$2,000 per hour minus hourly production costs and expenses] of its own money into the paper shredder instead of depositing it into the bank. Surely even the most incompetent business owner of all would not actually throw even a single dollar bill into a bonfire. Yet, the racist version of WidgeCo's acts have the same effect as throwing all that cash into a fire instead of depositing it.
This seems to prove that not only is capitalism not intrinsically racist at all, the healthiest forms of capitalism actually work against racism.
