Here's a thought ...

What happens if The Donald wins enough primaries to get the nomination? What happens to the Fox News 'fair and balanced' theme? But most of all ... what happens to the GOP leadership (the Party, John, and Mitch ... not to mention the strap hangers)?

My guess is the GOP will fall in line behind Trump.

My Republican friends (NOT Tea Partiers) disagree with you. They say they say that Trump will never get their vote. A Trump candidacy would definitely be the ultimate "tail wagging the dog" scenario and could herald the dismantling of the GOP as it exists today - which would not be a bad thing.

Won't happen. Trump has no intentions on being President. He is in to split the Republican vote and put Hillary back in the White House. What will be interesting is what will Trump do if Hillary is forced to bail?

Me too but I am inclined to think he's the cover for the Republican candidate the big conservative superpacs have chosen.

The GOP is party leaders, not average voters. If a socialist ended up being the democratic nominee the dnc would be lock step behind him as well.

It just might happen. The GOP base is fed up with party leadership.

What Trump understands is that it's not the GOP leadership he has to work on right away. It's the bureaucrats, the termites in the system like the Lois Lerners of the world, the people still writing the ACA and Dodd-Frank. Or the one's controlling the out of control EPA or poisoned the DOJ with radical politics.

Nonsense...and let Hillary or Biden or Sanders win? Not a chance. BTW, as soon as my Republican friends heard Trump was accepting donations they started writing checks...big ones.
