This was eight years before the housing collapse and about four years before the big housing bubble started. If she had done this after 2008 the story might have some legs but she was out of the flipping business 10 years earlier.

According to American Thinker:
In 1993 a house was purchased at it's $30,000 asking price and re-sold 5 months later for $115,000.
Another house was purchased in 1993 and transferred to her brother in 2004. That's 11 years - hardly flipping for profits.
