I'm sorry but, I cannot agree with you - GS employees, from bottom to top, did a good job (obviously) for their customers - and those employees are being rewarded for it
Though the bonuses may seem - and quite frankly I agree they are outrageous - it's not any of our business. They did well, their employees were amptly rewarded for it.

It depends. If Goldman analysts actually were playing both sides of the transaction (e.g., recommending and selling CDO instruments to clients while betting against those same instruments in another department), they should probably have to forfeit all those ill-gotten gains, along with massive punitive damages.

Even though truthhurts is a mouth-foaming windbag of a personality-disorder with a tenuous capacity for reason and has consistently shown an abject willingness to cite his own moronic assumptions as fact (not to mention is a horrible communicator who confuses volume with quality), he is 100% correct on this one. Reading some of the posts in this thread made me want to puke.

Wow, aww, I'm tickled pink and extremely flatterd. Thank you for such kind comments LM1. NOT! Good to see we agree on something although knowing you agree with me is a bit scary. It's scary like the first time I saw the "Exorcist", "Jaws", or got into a car accident. Yikes hopefully this 2008 change in agreement with me does not continue or else whos silly ideas would I have to make me laugh and cry (mainly crying so much because i'm usually laughing so hard at your ideas, but also crying in pity .
