Gotta love freedom of religion, it grows the most interesting weeds.
LOL, you can never get rid of weeds unless you pave over the garden.

According to Al Jazeera, federal courts have previously ruled that Guantanamo detainees were not "persons within the scope of RFRA" and therefore did not have any guaranteed rights to religious exercise.
A Defense Department spokesperson told the news outlet that the department would "respond through the legal system."
How does the Hobby Lobby ruling make the Guantanamo detainees "persons within the scope of RFRA"?
Since when were they stopped ? we supply them pray rugs, korans, approved food, we give them everything but a trip to mecca, including medical care that is better than most Americans get. Too bad they do not do the same for those who they capture, they cut their captives heads off, all in the name of peace
Oh, and how do we know they are terrorists, if they were caught fighting our troops, that qualifies, they are not POWs, as they did not wear uniforms, they were not part of a countries military.
exactly
my son in law just spent two deployments down there guarding them and it is a cushy life with all religious respect provided to the inmates.
the HL ruling gave the RFRA more credibility, and now they're are going back with it as a reference even though it was already turned down once.
Saying the HL ruling gives the RFRA "more credibility" doesn't answer my question. And to re-file a lawsuit by claiming the statute the suit was originally filed under now has "more credibility" doesn't make sense either.
The Hobby Lobby ruling says "closely held corporations" have religious freedom the way sole proprietorships do. Are the plaintiffs saying the U.S. Government is a closely held corporation?
