Oh please! Do you think there was no violence involved when cops murdered Thomas? Violence is called for when cops murder innocent people! Cops cover and lie for each other. They're the biggest terrorist gang threat to innocent Americans. It's past time for the tide to turn! The thin blue line needs red leaking from it!

Is Ramos still on the police force. I imagine he's still there since he's been acquitted of all wrongdoing.

No. The Fullerton Police Department terminated his employment before the trial.

This was an issue of contention, especially after his training officer testified that he saw nothing improper about the way that Ramos behaved during the incident that caused Kelly Thomas's death.

The thinking was that if the training officer saw nothing done wrong, then the FPD should not have had a reason to fire him, and that essentially the training officer was "full of it".

Of course the training officer saw nothing improper! He's a cop too! They stick together and have no problem with killing Americans just as long as the cowards can go home at night. The entire lot of them belong in prison or at the end of a rope.

Personally I think the Thomas case demonstrates the need for reform in the US in terms of both police accountability and also in respect of how the mentally ill are treated in the US.

In terms of accountability, it's about time the US made police accountable to an Independent Body and not just subject to internal investigations, although in this case the Courts backed the officers which seems beyond belief.

Secondly the lack of psychiatric services and beds in many parts of the US is scandalous, even when compared to other nations. Sadly this lack of resources leads many people like Thomas in to confrontation with Law Enforcement, when what they really need is treatment and emergency psychiatric beds.

As for the police who carried out this brutal beating they would be in jail in most civilised countries.

The Training Officer should go down too then. If he believes that's the way that officers should behave then he should be terminated and find another career.

Someone is murdered by the Police every single day in this country. A black man every 28 hours.

There should be a site posting the faces of abusive Police officers and the departments they work for. It should also include a description of their offense.

Simililarly to how they post pictures of all of their arestees. Guilty or innocent. For the public to view.

When it comes to many of our Police forces we are facing tyranny.

The acquitted officers, The FPD, and the City of Fullerton Ca are not out of the woods as of yet. Federal violation of Mr. Thomas' "civil rights" could still be filed.

An Orange County jury may have looked the other way...but there are other recourses.
