I'M IN THE MILITARY AND TO ME THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! I AM FROM MONTANA BY THE WAY
There is a growing sense of outrage in Kalispell Montana after a Mexican flag was erected in front of a U.S. flag 200 feet up a huge tower that belongs to the oldest radio station in America - KGEZ.
Station owner John Stokes said that he was getting calls from angry supporters of the extremist La Reconquista movement, a separatist group that advocates the violent overthrow of the southern and western U.S. states, before also receiving death threats.
Two Mexican males entered the premises of KGEZ and demanded that another U.S. flag that was on a flagpole be taken down because it was "disrespectful". The flag was later stolen.
On Wednesday morning the station's ice covered 400 foot radio tower was scaled and the Mexican flag was hung in front of old glory.
The Kalispell Police blotter makes mention of the incident but it has received no attention in the media.
Similar incidents have increased over the past few years. Last month, a veteran from Reno, Nev. made headlines after he took matters into his own hands and tore down a Mexican flag that was being illegally flown above a U.S. flag at a local business.
According to federal law it is illegal to fly any flag above the U.S. flag, and if flying more than one they must be on separate poles and be of an equal size.
The latest incident will fuel tensions about U.S. immigration policy, especially in light of recent revelations concerning the explosion of illegal immigrants now living in America.

Uh, I don't actually think this is true. Flag-flying on private property would fall under freedom of speech laws. Which is to say, if I (for some insane reason) decide to fly a flag with a Nazi Swastika and a Satanic Pentagram above an upside-down (or a defaced) US flag on my own property, this would fall under 'freedom of speech.'

TITLE 4 - FLAG AND SEAL, SEAT OF GOVERNMENT, AND THE STATES
CHAPTER 1 - THE FLAG
-HEAD-
Sec. 7. Position and manner of display
-STATUTE-
The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or
flags, should be either on the marching right; that is, the flag's
own right, or, if there is a line of other flags, in front of the
center of that line.
(c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the
same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of
America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains
at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during
church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall
display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or
international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior
prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United
States at any place within the United States or any Territory or
possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall
make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed
of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of
superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions
of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United
Because Mexicans have nothing to gain by "outraging" the american public. Explain to me one rational reason for doing this if your mexican..
If that were truly the mindset, why march by the millions through American streets demanding rights reserved for citizens? If they truly thought that far ahead, they would have known that sucking off of the big ol' American teat for free and demanding even more would raise the ire of the average American.
They don't care if they p*ss off Americans. As long as our government continues to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration, they will do as they please.

Why in gods name would they want to raise the issue that millions of mexicans live here illegally? All this would do is keep this on frontpage news, until someone in politics does something about it..
Ok, on a small town bar.. is one thing.. but the prominant the location, the more likely a mexican did not do it..

KGEZ is the oldest radio station in America? I've never heard of the station before this. KDKA is well known as the first commercial radio station in the U.S. and the WWV shortwave time signal station is the oldest non-commercial station in the U.S. Isn't this station too far west for a radio station? Is this a flame post?
Second, this could be a stunt by the radio station. Remember Sex at St. Patrick's?
Its against the law to fly any flag HIGHER then an american flag, on public, or private property. We've been through this issue before here
It's not against the law; it contravenes the 'Federal Flag Code,' but the FFC contains no enforcement provision - it's an advisory code. Congress tried to create an enforcement mechanism for the FFC through something called the Flag Protection Act of 1989, but its most important provisions were held unconstitutional the next year in a flag-burning case.
You'd certainly face public scorn for maltreating the flag, or flying it in a disrespected position, but it's not illegal under federal law - not in any enforceable way.
