LOL..I had to show a picture ID to get a library card.
You can't even get a 1 day fishing license to fish off the pier without a state picture ID.

In this day and age of stolen ID's and rampant illegal immigration and political corruption you'd think we all want to make sure the foundation of our government, the right to vote by citizens, is protected by whatever means necessary.

Many states have gone over and above to satisfy the opposition and it's still not enough.
There are states that have had this in place for years and have had no problems.

Texas finally was able to go forward and the only person crying about not being allowed to vote was a politician who had not renewed his driver's license in the allotted time (2 years after expiration) which rendered it null and void and not valid. He stopped his public outrage when asked why he let it expire and why he thought it should still be valid.

That Texas DL of his was not valid anywhere in Texas but he made it seem it was all about voter suppression.
Half of me thinks he did that on purpose and then backed off when called out on it.

Actually I'm not. This isn't South Africa or Spain and if someone said used those words in the USA they would be called a racist.

Considering the police have a history of making questionable arrests at these things and demanding ID I would think that is why it is encouraged. I don't think police tend to arrest folks while they are in line to vote.

I am also pretty sure they are not checking IDs before you march.

Do I have this right - that they're discouraging those without ID from marching for their own non-ID voting rights?

The names Colored and Negro are long dead and are insulting to everyone.

Apparently there are millions of Black people who disagree with you and find it perfectly OK.

That's the beauty of being PC today. If one person is offended then everyone should be and it has to be changed.

Seems like we have to stop those who make money off of dividing others over the smallest of actions or words.......except, I think people are voting more by what they say and not what they think. Research before voting is a wonderful tool, more should learn to USE it.
