I see the freedom to advocate placing burning tires around the necks of the opposition which included black african groups - what a nice guy.
Assuming that this is true (it is not), let me ask you: how do you feel about those early American revolutionaries that torched American Indian villages, tortured British soldiers...?

Both fought to overthrow dictatorial and oppressive regimes. Both resorted to violence to do so. But in victory one chose show trials and summary executions and the other chose exposing the truth regarding acts committed by both sides as a path for reconciliation.

Is that your excuse when any black person is celebrated? Must be white guilt, we are celebrating a man who helped overcome segregation in his country. Seriously, give it a rest, we all know you hate Mandela and we all know why you have this hatred towards him.
Well, I don't hate Mandela. But I think he gets waaay too much credit. In his early days, he was pretty violent and ruthless. Only in later years did he become someone people could admire.
I mean, if you compare say, MLK Jr to Mandela for instance. There really is no comparison. If you compare even another South African, Desmond Tutu to Mandela. I think you'll realize that Mandela falls very short of being someone to admire.
The only thing truly great that Mandela actually did. Was be humble after he was released from prison, and to serve one term as president. I mean, he was an unimportant figure. He spent three decades in prison. While others actually overthrew the apartheid government. The only reason he was even elected, was because he was turned into a martyr for the cause.
He was made a symbol for a cause. He was not the cause. And while he was in prison, his wife basically supported necklacing.
Seriously, Mandela is not a great man. And should not be heralded as such.
