“It’s mayhem. Students are in the halls, they’re smoking in the bathroom; cigarettes, marijuana,” said a worker at the school, who asked not to be identified. “We can’t contain them and it’s really hazardous for us working and these kids are not being educated at all.”
“It’s a zoo in here. Parents really need to come up here and see what’s going on in this school because it’s ridiculous,” said the worker.
Can't say I blame the kids for not caring anymore. They are forced to go to a prison-like school where they don't learn any skills that they'll actually need to get a job. Their future is likely just to work fast food which they can already do. So why bother?
I thought kids smoked in the bathrooms even in the 60's.
Who woulda thought that when you treat students as prisoners, who are forced by the state to go to school, and the teachers only care about making more money , and the school teaching system is outdated by 15 years, that any problems would arise?
The riots; teachers getting stabbed; school closed at 10am.
Not my school (1979 - 1981). Kids were kicked out for fighting. Pregnant girls were expelled and sent to an "alternative" school to finish their education.
Schools are the biggest waste of money for this type.
We throw so much money at "education" but we then turn around and import many millions of illiterates of other countries to fill the jobs that these thugs and druggies think they are too important to do.
