The liberal sound bytes for the conservatives trying to derail the disaster that is Obamacare were "terrorists" and "hostage takers". The libs must have sent out a mailer instructing all liberals to say this.

Now that the conservatives were defeated by the liberals and Obamacare proceeded without change, we have found that the law is an unmitigated disaster which increases costs and increases the number of uninsured. Even liberals are calling for citizens to be able to maintain thier old plans (which essentially destroys the whole concept of Obamacare).

It appears as though the "hostage takers" and "terrorists" (conservatives) were right, and perhaps the liberals who demanded the implentation of Obamacare are holding the nation hostage to a plan which makes healthcare less affordable and less available.

How is it a disaster exactly? If you mean the website, sure, I'll agree with that. There is more than one way to sign up for health insurance. Rising costs? My insurance cost rose 2 years ago & before that it rose. And? Prices increase, that's life. So what exactly is the disaster?

thats because the liberals cant make the terrorists and hostage takers narrative work anymore, especially now that obamacare is a total disaster, and the people know it. if obamacare had gone off without a hitch, and people really did save money, then there is no way that republicans would stand a chance in the next two election cycles. now however, the chances are good that real conservatives can win the next two elections because of the lodestone of obamacare hanging around the democrats necks.

promises like you rates will go down $2500 per year, and you can keep your plan and your doctor, all of which are not and were not true, are what is going to sink the democrats. that and the fact that out of pocket costs are also going to increase with obamacare isnt going to help either.

I knew Obamacare was going to hurt Democrats. That's why they're so desparate to stop voter ID laws. I really thought the Republicans were stupid for the shutdown, but now I think they actually forced Obama to roll out Obamacare when it wasn't ready for primetime. If the shutdown hadn't happened, Obama would have just delayed the individual mandate for a couple of months to try to fix the website problems. Of course the website is just the tip of the iceberg, so the disaster for Democrats would have merely been delayed.

Hawkeye, you are right, something changed.

In my opinion, what happened is that more and more people have been clued in to the theoretical underpinnings of the Affordable Care Act. It seems to be based on the Underpants Gnomes in South Park:

Phase 1: collect underpants
Phase 2:
Phase 3: insurance for everyone!

Watch the clip; it bears an uncanny resemblance to the Democrat thinking behind the Affordable Care Act.

Are we admitting defeat? It's about time.

Its a disaster because people fighting for their lives in cancer treatment centers are recieveing notice that their ins is cancelled and they cannot get coverage through the exchanges. Wheres the outrage the libs held so close when their lying narrative was Repubs throwing the elderly over the cliff . What about that person standing at their mail box in tears holding that notice address that individual

If we can save one life by repealing this murderous law we should do it
