as for the premise of this thread itself, the president did not lie, he did not mislead anyone. The President said you could keep your policy if you wanted to and that is true. It is the insurance companies that are choosing to cancel policies. Many of them will never be cancelled because of a provision in the law that says their has to be a good reason for doing so in the first place, same goes with price hikes over 10%.

people like you will never be taken seriously until you are as objective as you want others to be.
They can keep the policy ONLY if it meets AHA requirements, which is not the same policy....no matter how you twist the words....

ANd if what yo usay is true, why are all these dems going nuts trying to scatter from this bill now? WHy are these dems making ANOTHER bill that will allow you to really keep your current plan unchanged....

Please answer, honestly...

I cannot wait for the day that ol' Frozen Face says "I DID NOT say 'we need to pass this bill in order to know what's in it.' That was totally taken out of context." Obamacare is truly the turd in the swimming pool, and these deviants cannot swim away from it fast enough.

What a pathetic group of dysfunctional misfits we have in Washington, D.C.

I would be worried for the republican seats in 2014, actually all incumbent seats are up for grabs. Put some new people in there.

I am way proud of my conservative congressmen and senators. You should be ashamed of your liberal, foolish idology.
And note that the calamities predicted by Obama and his mimions that would occur IF the sequestor AND the spatial shutdown did NOT occur.

Every time they want something to happen not or something they want not to happen doesn't happen they predict the "world will come to an end".

That is a flat put lie and you know it.

The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT passed a law that states WHAT POLICIES HAVE TO COVER.

The insurance are NOT "choosing" to cancel the policies. They have NO CHOICE.

The plan we had for the last 11 years and several procedures, hernia, septic colon, broken leg, stitches, colds, flu....

I would not call it junk. It was what we could afford and it worked for us.
Now, as of Dec. 31st, we have to pick a Bronze-Platinum plan.
The Bronze plan is junk compared to what we have now. The Silver plan is comparable in premium cost but co-pay and deductibles, with out of pocket, are double what we have now. The Gold plan is about what we had, but to get that same coverage and other aspects, is 50% more cost in premiums. No way I could ever afford the Platinum deal.

The Bronze plan is junk compared to what we have now.

Keep sounding off those talking points that make this seem trivial. It places the blame squarely where it belongs.
On a bill that had to be passed before you know what's in it............. Geee!!! Thanks, idiots

The Dems make it sound like it's normal for millions to get their policy cancelled every year.
Can't be Obamacare mandates or those 10 essential items every plan must have.

Wake up Dems. Even your guys in DC are now coming around.
You need to keep up with them as they change their opinions.

I agree. A family that I know very well has had what I would call a "catastrophic" policy. It only pays when their expenses reach a high amount. I don't remember the particulars but maybe 5 or 6 thousand dollars in one year. It has a fairly low yearly premium cost. They have had this for more than 10 years and when a hospitalization or such occurs, it pays, no ifs ands or buts. They are people who don't live paycheck to paycheck and so if they go to a dr, pharmacy or whatever they pay for it, period. This is not junk insurance. It protects them from a catastrophic loss. They were pleased with it. Now, it goes away because it doesn't meet all the bs criteria of ogoofballcare.
