Is this what this country is going to come to? Sadly it appears so. You play sports at a high school level to win. This aint sixth grade BS and this is Texas too where they are so serious about football it isn't even funny. Its just an amazing example of the lunacy that has taken over the US.
They should rig it so that everyone has a .500 record at the season's end and everyone gets a pretty ribbon.

Well I have to say they pretty much made is so half the state makes it to the playoffs no in my state. They split all the divisions up and now have 32 teams make it to the playoffs. It's ridiculous IMO but that is how they do it now. Hey wen wen't 2-7 but we're in the playoffs is the battle cry of a few teams this year. I guess they weren't bullied though. LOL. Hell my boys team won their last three games 59-0, 48-0 and 63-0 and the teams they destroyed are in their bracket the first couple rounds. It's insane. Those guys shouldn't even be in the playoffs.

One of many reasons I hate hockey. A team can have a mediocre record and make the playoffs.

Yeah hockey has been like that for a long time. They all make it, NBA too. These high school teams have no chance though because they get plowed all year they just aren't big enough and get plowed again in the playoffs and the only thing that can happen is a couple of your kids get hurt. It used to be sixteen teams then a couple years ago the not fair folks got it all changed. So now their kids get to get plowed one more week and the good teams have to take a chance on their guys getting hurt. It's BS.
