I've posted this excerpt from obama's speech about why he was voting against raising the debt limit in 2006 many times....not ONE leftie has responded.

Why?

He either lied or was fully ignorant.

From Sen. Obama’s Floor Speech, March 20, 2006:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Here's the full statement from 2006......

He was planning on running for president and playing politics.

Did he also threaten a default if he didn't get his list of demands met?

Yup he said it. Then he won election 2 times and found out that he was wrong in 2006.

The job of Pres. of the US is the hardest job in the world.

Yeah big deal. Things look different depending on which end of Pennsylvania Avenue your office is located. The fact is he was wrong in 2006. Playing politics with the debt ceiling is playing with fire and it needs to stop - right here, right now.

To be fair, back in 2006 the deficit wasn't as bad as it is now. The recession and financial crisis has ballooned the deficit to a point higher than anyone would have anticipated back in 2006.

Neither.

Obama says whatever is expedient at the moment. Considerations of right, wrong, correct, incorrect, true, false are never made.

I love how all the democrats will defend Obama no matter what he does.

He is caught in an obvious lie, so what.

If someone found a video of Obama killing kittens the libs on this board would find a way to justify it.

Open you eyes.
