Since the liberal press was all over Bush when gas prices were high (even though the President doesn't control them), congrats to Obama for hitting 1000 straight days of gas over $3.00 a gallon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~
By now every driver knows the drill: The price of gasoline ratchets up, there's an outcry among motorists who feel gouged at the pump and then things settle down as the higher price becomes the new normal.
Well, AAA has come up with a sobering statistic: the average price of gasoline will surpass $3 per gallon Tuesday for the 1,000th consecutive day. That's never happened before, the motoring organization says.
Gas prices set record: 1,000 days above $3 a gallon
Well honestly, it's 2013. Do we expect gas prices to stay in the $2 range forever?
Inflation, increased global demand... inevitable.
also, getting at oil is becoming more expensive as the oil is becoming harder to extract.
If a Republican were president, the gas prices likely would be $6 per gallon.
That's funny. It was in the 1.85 range around here the last time a Republican was in office. What happened?
Gotta love the Free Market guys! Oh wait, except when it comes to gasoline. Then the gov't should do everything it can to make gas cheaper for me. Maybe make cuts to welfare so I can afford my joyriding habit?
