well even in that you fail. the storms that have recently hit the Yucatan have not been Cat3 or above storms.

in fact they have barely been of strength to be named. Humberto is the only Hurricane of the season so far. That storm is currently spinning itself out in the middle of the Atlantic.

the storms that have hit Mexico have been tropical storms or tropical depressions.
Barry had max wind speeds of 45mph and Ferdinand was at 50mph. neither were even cat1 storms.

What, that we had hurricanes? LOL...

The OP stated that there were supposed to be more (because of global warming/climate change)....not less....

dude we are at 23 ACE YTD. normal ACE YTD is 67. we are at 1/3rd the level we normally are at and you are going to try to suggest that a minor storm is somehow global warming caused?

good grief.
"Normal" is 67 hurricanes per year? Says who? Please provide a cite, because my own research is showing nowhere near that!!!!!!!!!

LOL. ACE= Accumulated Cyclone Energy. It is the gold standard in measuring the energy released by cyclones and it is a numerical value.

here. this is some good information.

WeatherBELL Models | Premium Weather Maps

it will show you ACE for all the major basins and for global figures. the numbers I gave are for the North Atlantic.

Year to date global ACE is 248 YTD average is 527. we are running at about half of normal so far this year.

oh the grand total number of HURRICANES in the North Atlantic is 2

Let me point out that as of this writing (11/01/2013) there are offically MORE hurricanes worldwide that there were in 2012

Unfortunately, you will have to do your own manual tabulation.

Some folks try to find significance in the vicissitudes of year to year statistics without making any effort to see the bigger picture.

Until you have SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL data, you are no different that any chicken little who cries "the sky is falling" every time an acorn falls.

Now known as "climate change" because the ideologue AGW folks realized that they were being exposed as the frauds they are.

Sorry, but as the real scientists weigh in on the matter, the IPCC and their lies are exposed, we are seeing something entirely different.

Hint - ALL the evidence points to an imminent ice age. CO2 will not prevent that. As if CO2 is the only factor involved. Hint: Water vapor and tilt of the earths axis are far more significant.

But keep believing what the ideologue left is saying.

And who are these 'real scientists'?

And what are the IPCC 'lies' that are being 'exposed'?

Nope that would bed Mars. See, we polluted the surface of Mars with the Rovers which is contributing to global warming on that planet, since man is the cause of AGW.

The big oil backed deniers are the frauds..These are the same people that defended the tobacco companies......Real science is not part of their reality, so they just make crap up and feed it to the ignorant.

Yeah, all 24 of the "real scientists" that are in the pocket of the fossil fuel lobby, vs the 35,000 honest scientists world wide....Deniers are predominantly a US thing....I wonder why?

Water vapor a big factor and is increasing, because CO2 is warming the oceans, and warm oceans cause more water vapor...This is called feedback, or a snowball effect...The tilt of the earth effects our seasons, and is not a factor in the present warming event. No evidence points to an imminent ice age...Perhaps in 100,000 years.

How many times must your inane right wing talking points be refuted before you realize they are just feeding you inaccurate propaganda?
