I wouldn't say obsessed, more like watching a train wreck in progress. He's an entertainer. Back in the day he entertained us with rock music. Now he entertains us through political showmanship. I put him in the same boat as Limbaugh, Hannity, etc... they get paid to bring in the eyeballs and sell books. Unfortunately too many people actually take what they say seriously.
( ....and i've actually done work for nugent on a few occasions so he has had a tiny impact on my life ).
