DEMOCRATS JOIN GOP IN MISSOURI ON HIGH-PROFILE GUN BILL | UTSanDiego.com
Quote:
Several of Nixon’s fellow Democrats confirmed they would vote to override his veto when lawmakers convene in September, even while agreeing with the governor the bill couldn’t survive a court challenge. Many of them noted that in some parts of Missouri, a “no” vote on gun legislation could be career ending.
that is what is called political expediency and pandering. Since the over-ride veto vote is meaningless...might as well take a popular stand.

Bills like this have been passed in a few states now.

It is an indication about how far detached the federal government is in its views bas become from the states.

It is a shame that the balance in power has shifted so far in one direction from state government to federal government.

Their bill would have a chance of working if the guns were made in MO.

Montana has a similar law.

LOL stampede. I'll bet a six-pack of Dos Equis there is no stampede to the right in MO in 2014.
