I know this is a broad question but I'm genuinely curious to see what the general consensus is on the Millenial generation. Do you believe that millenials will provide economic growth, practice innovation in their careers, contribute in a positive way to American culture, engage in philanthropy, etc? Or will they simply become bland figureheads of social media and useless trends that do nothing to improve society? Are they truly innovative and optimistic, or just flat out delusional as a result of coming from a more privileged background and excessive pampering? Are they more altruistic or narcissistic? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It'll take a while to find out. Baby Boomers still hold most positions of power and authority, in business/politics/etc.

Thank the Boomers for coddling them and telling them lies to make them feel they are more important than they really are.

narcissistic and lazy
Quantify that. Every generation tends to call the ones behind it "narcissistic and lazy." But if you look at actual statistical measures like worker productivity, those numbers continue to increase.

Yes! Hiring 2 employees part time this coming week. Started on a new project last week.

I think our greatest contribution will be building an Economy that is also good for the community. At least that's what I'm doing with my ventures.

That's a great attitude but unfortunately not everyone is on the same page as you.

There are a bunch of childless and bitter boomers on this board who will rip on us.

Generation Y is:

The most educated generation.
The most worldly generation.
The most tech savy generation.
The generation most tolerant of others.

The recession that boomers caused has also taught us a great deal of discipline and humility. Generation Y will contribute to this country in grand ways.

I hope so.
