Army punishes senior NCO for serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches, celebrating DOMA - National Social Issues | Examiner.com
Quote:
An unnamed Army master sergeant was punished with a letter of reprimand after he celebrated his promotion with sandwiches from Chick-fil-A in honor of the Defense of Marriage Act, Todd Starnes reported at Fox News Wednesday.

Starnes said that according to the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, the soldier was "investigated, reprimanded, threatened with judicial action and given a bad efficiency report."

“They say he is no longer a team player and was not performing up to standards,” Chaplain Alliance Executive Director Ron Crews told Starnes. “This is just one little example of a case of a soldier just wanting to express his views and now he’s been jumped on by the military.”

The promotion took place last summer, which coincided with the controversy over the fast food chain.
Only the views of the Sodomites and their fans are "tolerated".

You do realize that when you are an officer of the military, you are supposed to follow all rules and protocol of that branch. He broke that and was punished as he should have been. But seeing how it doesn't fit your agenda, I guess you don't see that and I bet you were never in the military.

It must be true: they have an actual photograph of a Chick-Fil-a restaurant.

Sorry, Eddie, but no dice. The officer in question was given an order and he refused to follow said order. He was punished appropriately.

Why don't you learn how the military operates before you attempt to comment on it.

Wow. "The Sodomites." Handy, archaic, regressive word to use and base on ancient superstitious writings from a bunch of desert-dwelling goat herders.

You would do great living about 6000 years ago when your mindset would have seemed current and not draconian, hateful, ignorant and bigoted as it sits in the modern world.

You seem to be intolerant of homosexuals. I would point out to you that the only appropriate response to intolerance is to be intolerant of it.

Simple - he wouldn't be killing them anyway. You have no info, factual data, nor the right to make that claim.

I'm not saying we don't do that, but to specifically attempt to use that as a means to slander the military? Please. You can do better than that. It's like you're not even trying.

You focus on a tree despite the forest.

WOW! You mean that not following orders is reason for reprimand in the military? Who knew?

First of all, he's a Non-Com, not an officer.

Moreovet, he's a newly promoted E-8, and he should've known better. You don't do politics while in uniform ....especially on an issue where the Army has put its foot down on a policy. He was being purposely antagonistic, and got what his ass deserved. I might've given him much worse since I believe in harsher UCMJ the higher the rank. It's conduct unbecoming, and an open provocation.

If the OP had worn a uniform beyond his Cub Scout stint, he'd know better.
