kind of reminds me of the 60's when study government paid for by MIT and LSU pro[posed floodgates to protect new Orleans I case of hurricane flooding. Evironmental group went to court got a temporary injunction and the Johnson administration didn't fight the temporary injunction. The species; a minnow. pure politics of not wanting to go against a speciall interest group that supports you.
Seems to me, unless I've misread the published information about the pipeline, that the anti-Americans are up to their old lies once again. The lie that the Obama Administration has opposed the pipeline. Two of the four phases are under construction, the third has been approved and construction may already have begun (not certain about that) and it's a fourth segment which I'm recalling was not approved due to concerns expressed by in one or more states and/or lawsuits filed by refineries and environmentalists.
Those foreign oil companies don't give a crap about the resources and natural habitat in our country. They also take privately owned land by using eminent domain. Foreign companies taking privately owned land, which is a fundamental right, I think would get conservatives angry. However, you all are willing to give up anything we have for the shady promise of temporary jobs or perhaps a 3 cent savings on a gallon of gas. T
When there is no wildlife, fresh water, or natural beauty left in our country, where are you going to drive your cars to?
How much are you willing to pay for a gallon of gas? You can't have cheap materials as well as save every beetle. If you want to save a few beetles, great! That just means you give up your right to complain about high unemployment or high prices.
Yeah, at 1;11 that's a river in America that has cost about ~1,000 million dollars to clean up. It's been 3 years. It's still not cleaned. That's a dude skimming oil off the river with a cup.

Take your pick.
The Keystone pipeline will have no effect on our gas prices. In fact, the pipeline will actually increase the price of gas in the Midwest. This is because Canada will then have the means to export globally whereas now most of it is piped only as far as the Midwest creating an abundant supply (supply/demand effect on price) there.
