No, all the on site workers were actually American union metal workers. What did come from China was the component parts. BTW I agree with you that they should have taken the American bid because the costs were virtually the same (once you count in the Chinese cost over runs) plus the American bid would have built a new metal fabrication plant in the bay area which could have been used to complete future projects both domestically or for export.

No, liberals are very aware of the fact that Obama is not a liberal and instead is just another corporate controlled centrist. Most of us are very disappointed in Obama, many of us didn't even vote for him in 2012, though some did simply because he was the lesser of two evils. I would love to see an actual 1960's style liberal in office though.
I don't trust the Chinese. They had products that are poisonous and dangerous to our health.. they sent over Chinese drywall here that has forced people to move out of their homes because of the breakdown of what is in it. Chinese have taken over the furniture industry, clothing, what haven't they taken over? And we borrow huge amounts of money from them . They are winning the economic war and we are losing. We will be poor soon.
It's our own fault. We're mortgaging the country to them to fulfill our desire to spend more than we earn, we bought everything they sold to fill our demand for cheap products. You reap what you sow.. Now they have the jobs and we don't, they have the money and we don't, soon they'll have the food too... We did this to ourselves.

To compete it is necessary to be the lowest cost producer. The world, let alone U.S. people, are unwilling to pay more so that more U.S. people have middle class jobs.
If we eliminate minimum wage, make right to work a federal law, eliminate labor laws, eliminate the EPA, eliminate OSHA and more, the U.S. will be able to compete with the third world and bring those jobs home. That the U.S. standard of living will resemble the third world is incidental.
We hand them our food and jobs...what has happened to the collective IQ of the politicians? We know what we are dealing with but no one has the courage to stand with Americans today.
Should the federal government stop public shareholders and/or private interests from selling shares or their business outright to the the highest bidder?
Should the federal government use tax payer monies to nationalize all publically traded U.S. corporations to preclude them being bought by foreign interests?
Should the federal government prevent private land/property from being sold to the highest bidder?

Its good you are growing your own food Mac as just about everything in the supermarket these days comes from China, read the labels on most canned or frozen seafood products, they are also major suppliers of fruit and vegetables, its almost impossible to buy products that arent originating from China,southeast Asia or Mexico these days, i now usually frequent farmers markets.....
