I wonder what the rating would be if they actually polled all 300 million Americans
People often cite some retarded "scientific" theory called Bayesian Statistics and some other garbage to give credibility to these stupid polls. These "sciences" are all theory with absurd "evidence." I chalk it up as junk science personally.
You won't know a populations opinion until every person has been polled. Period. No "science" can get around that by polling the opinions of a few people.

well you cant poll baby's, i mean you could but it wouldnt mean anything. And it isnt possible to poll everyone unless you did a census type situation that would cost billions.
But larger polls would be more accurate. 1,000 people is not enough. If you can poll a different group of 1,000 people every 4 or 5 days, then why cant you poll 10,000 people at once and get a better(more accurate) number ?
Roughly 1,200 people has been deemed by most to be the appropriate sample size for a population the size of the United States in order to achieve an acceptable confidence level and confidence interval.
Seeing as how his average approval rating for all of 2012 (during which, as you may recall, he won a presidential election) was only 47.6%, I don't think Obama will be losing much sleep over this result.
