It seems that the pro-abortion crowd has been very quiet on the subject.
I don't know of any "pro-abortion" crowd. Who are you referring to? These myths being perpetuated by the pro-life crowd that the pro-choice supporters are silent on Gosnell are just not true, and are just that....myths.

There were multiple complaints to the Health Department and the Department of State dating back to 1983. There were multiple failures in this case, and according to various news reports, these failures are being reviewed extensively.

I noticed there was very little coverage also. When you are pushing an agenda and having people opposing it, it pays to keep such things quiet. Then, is this an isolated case? Probably not. Abortion is a brutal undertaking but we need to keep that quiet, don't we? Not! Abortion-clinic worker: Baby ‘swimming’ in toilet Let's just try to pretend the baby is just not human even though everything points to that being a lie.
"So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief," said Rep. Jim Boyd. "If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”
"We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician," said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.
Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, "What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”
"I do not have that information," Snow replied. "I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”

Its ****ed up what happened to those woman and the babies, and further makes me inclined to say we need to make sure more access and funding is available, so women. especially low-income women won't have to resort to a place like that hell hole.

I do agree there needs to be help for those who can not afford medical care, but these pregnancies were late term and that should never be permitted unless there is true evidence mommy would die if she gave birth (probably never is the case or 1 in million ) or the baby is so deformed it isn't going to live anyway; again, normally this is known was before the 3rd trimester. BTW, I don't know all these botched abortions were 3rd trimester, but they were certainly later than most consider abortion even completely safe.

That'd be Right Wing code talk for Women's Rights.
