Quite a few NGO workers out where I live on 200 bucks an hour, quite a few more on slightly less than that.

Does that make them hypocrites when the local salary out here is only 100/month?

Why don't these supposed do-gooders actually do good and give their money to the poor instead?

Why would you think that they are hypocrites? If the job pays the money, why shouldn't they accept the salary?

Why would this even concern you? Do you make 200$ an hour?

Do you make more than you need? Do you give away YOUR excess?

Why are you so concerned about others, and how they live, and what they earn?

Good god; I'm in the wrong field! $200 an hour? That's amazing.

Because the poor have done NOTHING WHATSOEVER to EARN it, and do NOT deserver it. NONE of it.

It's a moral hypocrisy though for sure.

The NGO"s are out here being all righteous and carping on about the poor and downtrodden folk of the land.

Yet they live it up in fine apartments, clothes and wine.

Not many of these do-gooders would stick around if they took a pay cut.

So where's the good in that.

What use do they provide other than keeping the gravy train going?

Ken-

You spend a lot of time counting other people's money. This will simply make you envious, unhappy, and unpleasant.

Yes.

It's insulting they get away with it.

It's why if I ever get rich enough to donate (you know, by putting in actual work), I'd give directly to where it's needed or else look to see exactly where my money is going.

I'm curious where you live and what the names of these NGOs are (called non-profits in the US), because checking salaries for non-profits in the US is often a matter of public record. I ran non-profit agencies for years on a community and state-wide basis prior to having my children. At $200/hour you're talking about an annual salary of $416K. I can tell you right now that if it's any kind of social service organization, the only person who might come close to making that much would be the President/CEO at the national or international office of a fairly well funded group. If it's a health care non-profit, or a business oriented non-profit (you don't have to be "do gooders" to be non-profit groups) then the salaries start creeping up much higher.

Be born a cripple/deaf/blind then talk about what they deserve.
