It's true. Many gay couples adopt the kids (when they're allowed) that most god-fearing Christian couples (straight, of course) don't want to be bothered to either raise on their own or adopt.
Kids with AIDS, physical and mental handicap, etc. etc.

It's probably not a good idea to lump all "God-fearing Christians" into one group. It makes you come across as a supporter of hate crimes against Christians. Here's a link to one of many Christian adoption agencies: CWA.org: A Christian International Adoption Agency

Sorry, but the ones most vocal about fighting to restrict gays from adopting children in my state ARE so-called "Christians."

Reason: Please send one of the two Sr. Moderators a report. Thanks.
Here's a nice dose of irony- I grew up with a girl with 2 moms. These women took in special needs kids. They also attended my church. REAL Christians, I'd say.

I really don't understand the purpose of your post. It seems as if you already have your opinion. But I will try and answer to the best of my ability.
Understandably Christians want to give a child the best possible chance at the life God intended for them, and we believe this is being raised in a family unit by a man and a wife. This does not mean that Christains hate homosexuals or wish them ill will or whatever. It's the same reason that raising a child as a single parent is not in the best interest of the child. Pretty simple.

Oh Spunky, PLEASE don't claim to speak for me! I am a Christian who is extremely thankful to the loving gay couples who are willing to adopt.
Off the top of my head I know 3 couples who are either gay (male) or lesbian (female) all of whom are Christian and have adopted. They adopted by different means (privately and public organisations) and one in fact adopted a handicapped child.
I don't recall if the organisation was Christian, but perhaps the next time I speak to them, I'll ask. And interestingly enough, the lesbian couple who adopted were in the New England newspapers for several months as they spear-headed gay unions (and won).
