politcally its often taken out of context of the discussio or question asked alos. just stating what Federal governemt relased as stats can get you in trouble as Romeny foud out. Spi is everyhtig i pltics now days by both sides.
It depends what the statement the person said was. There have been a few people I've come across who have said something that I found disturbing & changed my whole view on them. Usually, it would be a statement about race or ethnicity, something to that effect. To me, I find that that one comment/view branches out into other views they have that I find detestable. That's just me though.
