Democratics own it. Live with it.

It seems this is more political (as Supposn contends) than economic:
"If the states decide to Opt-Out of Medicaid expansion, ObamaCare itself will have to step up to the plate and insure these individuals via the ObamaCare Health Exchanges. The problem is that this will likely raise everyone's health insurance, including those with private insurance.
This means that anti-ObamaCare states who reject Medicaid will not only hurt their poorest, it will affect every tax paying American and every American who has health insurance."
'New York, Arizona and Maine expanded Medicaid between 2000 and 2005. A Harvard study reports, "rates of uninsured residents dropped, access to care improved, and more people reported being in very good or excellent health". The coverage was estimated to save a total of 2,840 lives a year for the states.'
True, that the GOP refused to take part in any form of health care reform in the US. Sad, but true.
Perhaps their input would have led to improvements. Or would that be impossible?
And no matter if it is wildly successful, they will continue to look for negatives to exploit for political gain.
I suspect there will be plenty of people who would rather "live with it", than die without it.
