The job of a defense attorney is to create a case to try to defend their client. That doesn't mean they're going to win with it. Just exactly how DO you defend someone caught by an eye witness having sex with a donkey?

True, can't say this topic was on the liberal or conservative radar as it's the OP that felt it needed to be brought up for discussion and has concerns about donkey sex.
