Ok, so the president should only visit Newtown and not the inner cities to express sincere apologies when violence occurs? Seems very hypocritical.

Let me be clear. I don't give a crap where the child resides, or what their parents do for a living, all crime and violence is equally repulsive. Since all working people pay the president's salary via taxes, he is beholden to all communities plagued by violence, not just affluent white communities.

Saying we must do better is hardly making a speech politics. It was an eloquent speech, under the most difficult of circumstances.

But most kids in the inner cities who are murdered are Black. If he made a special effort to mention them, he would be accused of just caring for Black people.

I mean, look at the flack he took here because he made mention of Travon Martin, and he only did that because a reporter asked him his opinion.

Try again...or don't, please.

I think he should bring attention to the murders in the inner city, since this represents much of the gun violence.

Should blacks accuse the president of only caring about whites, since he only seems bothered to the point of tears, when white children die?
