This is the country many would be more than happy to live in.

Exceptional indeed!
Ah, yes, I'm imagining a school bus full of rowdy children and a harried bus driver, and everyone one of them carrying a gun. What could go wrong?

Pssst...don't tell him that. It's far more enjoyable to sit back and watch him advance this absurdly idiotic argument.

NO it does not "appear that everything else hasn't worked". It only appears that un-restricted gun ownership hasn't worked!

Now how about trying something else like stringent restrictions placed upon the ownership of firarms and meaning ful sentences placed upon those who use a firearm in the commission of a crime to see if it MIGHT work or are you simply another fondler that will keep on with the fallacy of arming everyone to protect yourselves from each other?

How's that working out for DC?

If your first reaction to the shootings is to think "Oh no, Obama/lliberals are going to try to take our guns and we must arm all first grade teachers then your priorities as a human being SUCK

It's very sad when mentally disturbed individuals have easier access to milatary style weaponry than they do appropriate mental healthcare.

If your first reaction to the shooting is to think "Oh no we need to ban all guns so this will never ever happen again like in fairy dream land" then your priorities as a rational thinker suck.

My first reaction was what a horrible human tragedy. Most gun grabbers reaction: Oh what a horrible gun related tragedy.

I will agree with that point of view as well. The points I hope we can both agree upon is neither extreme is rational.

You're presupposing (likely because of a fanatical belief in a fairy tale as opposed to scientific inquiry) that the overwhelming majority of aborted fetuses that have no cognition, feel no pain, have no cortex and are not "alive" in the same way that we consider human beings who are murdered alive, deserve the same moral consideration as post-natal human beings that experience the world, have hopes and dreams and preferences, etc.

Additionally, abortion, despite being a guaranteed right is routinely and repeatedly regulated to make them more difficult to obtain. We ought to do the same thing with firearms.
