I figured Republicans wouldn't care until we got up to 40 deaths or more, like how it was under W. Bush.

Oh wait, they didn't care then!

Enough with the faux outrage already.

The last ambassador we lost was in 1979.

Quote:
ohn Gordon Mein, Ambassador to Guatemala, August 28, 1968. Mein was killed by a gunman in Guatemala City.

Cleo A. Noel, Jr., Ambassador to Sudan, March 1, 1973. Noel was taken hostage in Khartoum and killed by his kidnappers.

Rodger P. Davies, Ambassador to Cyprus, August 19, 1974. Davies was shot during a demonstration at the Embassy in Nicosia.

Francis E. Meloy, Jr., Ambassador to Lebanon, June 16, 1976. Meloy was killed by a gunman in Beruit.

Adolph Dubs, Ambassador to Afghanistan, February 14, 1979. Dubs was captured in Kabul and was killed during the rescue attempt.

J. Christopher Stevens, Ambassador to Libya, September 11, 2012. Stevens was killed in an attack on the Mission in Benghazi.

It seems like you and your ilk are the ones that don't care.

Now go off on a rant about Reagan, Nixon, Watergate, Bush I, Bush II, WMD's, 9/11 (but not this one) so you can completely ignore all the valid questions that I previously brought up.

Deflection and moving goalposts, er, moving pictures are what liberals do best.

No doubt you'll pay homage to them by completely ignoring them.

Talking Lindsey Graham calls out Democrats who attacked him.

Calling Graham, McCain and Ayotte racists proves very little but that is how they try to take care of Benghazi. Here are some thoughts about the Benghazi affair that need some thought.

Some of the words of Graham aimed at those who call him a racist because he has called for Susan Rice to be questioned under oath to find out where she got her information for that fateful Sunday. Graham has said, '“The only color that matters to me is red, the blood of those who were killed,†he continued. “I think it’s a good thing for people of color and women to be appointed to the highest level of our government, because in the past, they couldn’t be. I think it would be a terrible thing in America if you couldn’t question and challenge what they did in their jobs.â€

Some words that readers of this post need to see and won't from avoiding reading the link are: The Democrats always want to turn something into something that it is not. In this case they have taken a very serious issue where four men have lost their lives and those from their own party, in some of the most powerful positions in the world, have lied to cover up the reason why they were killed. They then turned on those who are seeking answers and trying to keep one of the people involved in the perpetration of the lie concerning Benghazi from being promoted. It seems in politics the ones that scream the loudest about racism or sexism are the true racists and sexists

GOP Senator To Racist Dems: ‘Only Color’ In Benghazi Matter Is Red Blood Of Slain

Couple of weeks back, Graham was on a Benghazi witch hunt.

Seems he's changed his tune, since the witches all vanished.

Kinda reminds me of that big bad GOP kerfuffle over fast and furious. You know, the one that was going to bring down Obama and put Holder in jail.

Funny how these loony right wing fantasies all dissolve into nothing.

WTF does that have to do with Libya? Why was the entire ME erupting because of The Video and yet Libya was pretty much silent?

Why did the attack occur just after the Turkish ambassador left on a night where the US ambassador was staying in Benghazi when he normally always stayed in Tripoli? Who tipped off the terrorist network of people who raided the compound?

Who was the C.I.A. detaining and how long did they have them?

Were the weapons used the same weapons that were funneled to Libyan rebels via the C.I.A. and Blackwater at behest of the Obama administration? You remember when Stratfor was hacked into? Well some of the emails that were hacked leaked out and proved just that.

Did the Obama administration know it was funneling weapons to AQ sympathizers?

Why did the administration try so very hard to blame the entire thing on The Video and random protest (that weren't even occurring at the time)? And why did you allow them to tell you they had concrete evidence that that was the case and then just a week or so later start saying we're watching a moving picture? To most people that's called moving the goalposts.

And why did Patraeus resign just after the election late on a Friday evening? How did our intelligence community not know of an affair that had been occurring for almost 2 years? Did the Obama administration, DoJ, DNI, etc., really not talk to each other about their head of the C.I.A. having affair with someone that was writing a book about him? Did Obama and friends really find out on election day? Do you think the Obama administration is competent? Do you think our IC is competent?

You people want this to go away because you're scared at what might be found so you then do your best to deflect using stories of the other side doing the very same things that are being asked of by the people just wanting the truth about the whole Benghazi thing.
It's about even handedness by politicians and putting things in perspective, the ambassador could have been killed many times prior to this attack and you would be asking the same questions. This could have been any embassy, they don't like us over there, time to move on instead of wasting countless hours on terrorists motivations and Rice's press conference. Does it really make a difference why they killed the ambassador. Honestly when start the cloak and dagger with Petraeus second guessing one of the best leaders we have you lose credibility, now the CIA is funneling arms to Al Queda.

Petraeus already briefing the intelligence committee, Cong. King was mostly satified as were the others. Their entire issue is Rice knew at here press conf, now we know the CIA shanged the talking points, time to move on.

Lindsay just has sour grapes because he politicized this whole thing and jumped to conclusions, and it turned out that Susan Rice DID get info from the CIA, talking points from the CIA, that tied the video to the incident. Now that that has come to light, AND it has been re-iterated in public that at the time Susan Rice outright said THIS INFO IS PRELIMINARY ONLY, AND THE RESULT OF THE INVESTIGATION WILL GIVE US THE FINAL ANSWERS so Graham has been shown for the political opportunist he is, that he jumped to conclusions when the focus should have been that lives were lost and who did it and what is being done to get justice.

He SO wanted Rice's words to have no basis except for a cover up, so when it turns out that her words DID have basis- the intelligence talking points that even David Petraeus testified had the video in them, he now has egg on his political face. He feels he can politicize the deaths of 4 Americans and jump to conclusions about coverup to besmirch Rice and Obama, but when others politicize his comments and jump to conclusions about racism to besmirch him, he's got a problem with that. Graham played dirty politics and just got a taste of his own medicine along with egg on his face. No sympathy for him. He reaped what he sowed. He should have planted different seed.

Graham still knows and is speaking the truth, that Rice was fed a bunch of hokum for her tv performances.

Any loss of innocent life is tragic, but that doesn't justify the neo-con witch hunt going on.

Actually the evidence says different. Petraeus' testimony revealed that the intelligence talking points DID have the video tied to the events, and that the video as motive wasn't discreted until even after HE gave his FIRST briefing to the congressional intelligence committees. The evidence clearly shows:

1. Rice passed on info that the intelligence community had ok'd to pass on.
2. Rice said the info is PRELIMINARY, and is subject to change based on the investigation. That is clear and specific indication that what she is saying is not to be taken as gospel, since the investigation still needed to run its course and might uncover any number of things.

But Graham's assumption was that there was NO CIA intel about a video so Rice and Obama was totally making that up willfully, and he treated her comments as if she was saying this is absolutely undeniably exactly what happened and any future evidence is only going to prove that this is absolutely undeniably what happened. THAT is the way Graham and McCain took it so that they could launch their sour grapes conspiracy theories to besmirch Rice and Obama, angry because Obama won re-election, McCain because Obama beat him in the first place. So the evidence proved she was not lying. It proved she got intel from the CIA and that she said the intel was only preliminary. And Graham hates that the evidence showed she got the intel from CIA because it blows up his bogus theory about the video motive being totally concocted by the Obama administration just to help win an election. He obviously knows now that Susan Rice was NOT lying, and he just can't stand it because now he looks like a conspiracy theorist fool.
