Joe Lieberman believed Kennedy would be a Republican today.
He was pro-life, Catholic Christian, Military Hero, stood for strong borders and considered the Western Hemisphere our backyard. Was for reduced spending and did not believe in just entitlements.
Kennedy would give the purest Republican Principle in his famous speech 50 yrs ago.

I wasn't aware that military heroes had to belong to the Republican party. (My guess is.... neither are they.) Or does one have to be a Republican to be a military hero?

Aside from the fact that Catholic Christian is redundant, I didn't realize that Catholics were exclusively Republican.

No..but I think Republicans on the most part have respect for the military versus Democrats

He had his personal flaws...but he believed in Christian GOD...unlike most liberals that have contempt for christanity...
