Really Obama was smart to pick Biden for VP. We're one heart beat away from having that guy as president.

The way I read the article, Biiden was talking about himself when he used the word "homeboy". Did I miss something?

Either way, colloquial usage is not race specific:

Um, he was just there Thursday. Did you want him to move in?

Actually the President did not visit Long Island. He visited Queens and Staten Island which are 2 boroughs of NYC.

He did not set foot on Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk counties). Long Island is to Sandy what Mississipi was to Katrina: had just as much damage as the big city, but still just an after thought.

Okay. The general vincity thereof. I apologize for the specific geographic inaccuracy.

Obama made a mention of Long Island when he acknowledged how many residents are suffering after Sandy unleashed its wrath, spawning record-breaking storm surge and creating havoc by downing hundreds of trees and electric poles, which led to the blackout that left more than 1 million LIPA customers without power.

My local paper had an article speculating about 2016 a day or two after the election. The writer seemed to think that Biden will be running for the top job.

I would LOVE for him to be their nominee.

Thank you for the back-up. I think it's pretty funny how when I stated da Prez was in Thailand, the first Lib reaction was, "No he isn't!" and then, "Well so what? Is he supposed to stay here forever?"

So as the president said when he was up here with the governor, we’re not going anywhere. We’re not not going anywhere. And you’ve got a homeboy in the deal who gets it."
I missed that double negative in Joe Joe's statement. Silly me.

Well is he? What is it you want him to do that he's not doing? Suddenly you're all about the federal government, when you think it's going to benefit you.
