Source: 7 Navy SEALs punished for secrecy breach - Yahoo! News

I served, know the deal with classified info etc etc etc. However, it highly annoys me that, especially in this case, the government shared info with movie makers to make a movie(s). No harm. This happens, and these guys are punished and they probably shared nothing any more vital than what the government shared.

We also have had numerous leaks from the White House. We never hear of someone being fired, punished, or charged.

The ones in charge of White House leaks, who probably make a lot more than SEALs who risk their lives, can get away with leaking info on purpose for political purposes but anything similar that doesnt risk lives done by military members will be punished. Im all for accountability. But it really ticks me off, when these coward politicians and "officials" get away with it.

Maybe they were punished because the leaks were true.

The Teams are policing themselves. Security is utmost importance. Anyone...ANYONE caught divulging information should be court martialed or kicked out of office. Period.
