Why should any foreign citizen who has knowingly violated United States federal law have the right to participate in the democratic process?

Because, like it or not, our government doesn't give a damn whether or not you are a citizen.
The elected officials only care about enough votes to keep them in their cushy jobs.

Haven't you realized that yet ? We, the people are here to fund the government. The government now exists for those with money and power.

Apathy has settled over America. People just don't care enough anymore.

Agreed. Just what is this anti-immigrant climate that they are speaking of? Who's anti-immigrant? Last I looked most Americans are anti-illegal immigration.

I bet the publication gets called on referring to illegals as undocumented immigrants. To legitimize illegals that are now referred to as "Undocumented Americans".

Unfortunately because they get away with making demands on government and Obama meets their demands, now they think politicians have to answer to them, although legally they can't vote. They feel they are being "shut out of the process" (political participation)? They are shut out because they are not entitled to be part of the process.

I don't care anymore either. The Republican voters complain and complain but the GOP does not listen. Contrary to popular belief the GOP is in bed with the illegal alien lobby almost as much as the Democrats are. OP, Oldglory, etc., can complain all they want but their representatives don't give a toss what they think, what I think, or what you think. We're supposed to just shut up and pay their salaries and take it, because we're not donating thousands of dollars to their campaign funds. GOP now has to sleep in the bed they slept in, they preferred to listen to their corporate sponsors and turn a blind eye toward illegal immigration while the illegals are still going to largely vote Democrat at least this generation. Karma is a *****
