Jay Z concert goers had to go thru metal detectors at Barclay center while Barbara Streisand concert goers didnt. (racism, security)

Now there are cry's of racism. If you ask me, violence and hiphop go hand in hand. I'm a huge hip hop fan but facts are facts. They were right to have everyone for Jay Z's concert pass thru the metal detector. I can GUARANTEE you that had they not had detectors and someone would have gotten shot, these same people crying out about racism would have been asking WHY WERE'NT THERE METAL DETECTORS, in addition to those who were shot suing the Barclay's center for not having them.

I'm a huge hip hop fan too, and I kinda get it. I mean, Jay Z is a talented guy, his rhymes are amazing, but he does sort of revel in that gangsta thing, he isn't Andre 3000 talking about how he was influenced by Kate Bush or anything. He came from the thug life and there are reflections in his music. And some people get the wrong idea and think their dignity can be had with a gun. If Jay Z thought that way he wouldn't have worked so hard to get to where he is. But I get it, but I have never heard of anyone getting shot at a Jay Z concert.
I haven't heard of anyone wanting to take "Catcher in the Rye" off the shelf even tho at least two killers loved that book, but some people would try and blame the artist who is reflecting life as the cause of violence and I don't agree. But I kinda get the point in this case.
The reality is hip hop often attracts the lowest of the low. I'm no Streisand fan but I'd think her fans were older professionals.
