Many of you probably don't know, understand, or care about how our Government works but the budget process starts with the House of Representatives, goes to the Senate, and then goes to the Executive Branch only for signature or not. Do you understand that most of the policies were being set by Congress particularly with George Bush a lame duck President

I guess not. Just like Obama and the Dems running the country accept no blame for the destruction their policies have wreaked on the USA the last 4 years.

Actually the the Budget is presidents proposal to the Congress. Anyway, in 2008 the economy was already in ruins by the time Bush's lame duck period started.

Of course they don't. In the Liberal's Fantasy Land, there were no Democrats in Congress or the Senate through GW's entire 2 terms.

You can repeat the lie all you like but that still does not make things true, the dems only controlled the house of a few months at most. What with teddy kennedy dying and another house dem. out sick for several months who eventually retired. Yeah they didn't run much, and after that they lost the super majority and ended up with a bunch of do nothing obstructionist who's only job was to block everything and anything. How do you explain in the transportation bill they added an amendment for ABORTION. These bums need to be tossed and the real conservatives should throw the bums out. !!

Yes. I do. I buy stuff made in China. And I'm not a Democrat or Republican.

[but that's probably not what you wanted to read]

You ask a question, incoherently, then answer your own question ... incoherently. Next time, just stand in front of the bathroom mirror .. and have a conversation with the smarter of the two. Accept the responsibility.

Of course they don't. Notice how it's always "the Bush administration", never a whisper about how they controlled both the House and Senate for 2 years, or how the Republicans only controlled both the House and Senate from 2003-2006. The blind disciples of the democratic party completely absolve their party of any responsibility.

It's always the 'other guy' - never us, never me, never I.

[denial of the obvious]

Actually, all appropriation bills originate in the House, but the Senate may amend them like any other bill. See Article I, Section 7, Clause 1 of the US Constitution.

By FY2008 the Democrat controlled Congress had almost tripled the deficit, and in FY2009 they more than tripled the deficit again. By the time the GOP lost control of Congress the deficit was a mere $178.1 billion, and in two years the Democrat controlled Congress increased that deficit to $1,509.62 billion.

Congress has never yet passed a budget that was proposed by any President.

The Democrats controlled the House from 2007 through 2010, and they controlled the Senate from 2007 through present day. Lie all you want, but 48 months in control of the House is more than just "a few months at most."
