What did Clinton or the Democrats do to cause that booming tech industry? Thats right, NOTHING...

here, let me ask you something, if the Clinton years were so wonderful, (and I'll concede there were a lot of positives), why are you supporting Obama, considering their policies arent even close to one another?

People can say what they want about Clinton but that guy is still as smooth as ever in front of the cameras. He is one of the most gifted public speakers of our era.

Did anyone else appreciate the irony of some of Clintons statements seeing as how he was the president that signed NAFTA and signed the repeal of Glass-Steagall?

Both of these were major republican initiatives that Clinton and many dems signed onto that lead to huge amounts of off-shoring and also contributed greatly to the banking crisis.

Big time, and even the lower end jobs were desperately looking for workers. I think we all remember the 10$ an hour to start signs in the windows of mcdonalds for a burger flipper.
Times were good under Clinton.

From 1977-1993, 12 years of republican presidents and 4 years of democrats there were TWO hurricanes in CT during the republican administration and NONE during the democratic ones.

Interesting how Mr. Clinton chose the years he did and excluded others.

I give you an F, see you in summer school Tempest.
Great mathguy, now the next Democratic thread is going to be "Republican presidents try to kill Democrats with hurricanes!"

Clinton's claim was clearly effective for the true believers, and if repeated enough, might sway a few others. But I think most people are more concerned about the last 4 years and next four years. Fifty years of history doesn't work that well in the American Idol generation.
Clinton looked great last night, better than he did when he was president. His speech was good and would have been a complete knockout if it had been 50% shorter.

Even if you cut it down to the last four presidents, 8 years of W and Clinton, and 4 years of Bush 1 and Obama, the dems have absoutly destroyed the GOP in job creation.

In this scenario:

Democrats = 21 million jobs created

Republicans = 854,000

But that completely ignores the fact that most of Clintons policies HE OPPOSED, and only signed after the GOP pretty much forced him to.

Why is it that when it comes to politics, people with no education and experience in analytics suddenly think they have a clue what they are even talking about?

(This coming from the guy that has repeatedly pointed out the economic bubble that blew up during Obama's admin had been passed along since at least the 1970's)

Oh, and Clinton signed the 2 main pieces of legislation that helped exacerbate the problem and yes they were largely republican initiatives.
