I remember when the Democrat controlled Senate lead by Harry Reid blocked unemployment benefit extension. Why doesn't the OP? Is the truth inconvenient?
Of course, the majority of the Democrats voted against the Thune Amendment. They voted against what was best, not only for the unemployed, but for the economy and the country at large. Honestly, can you think of a reason NOT to collect unpaid taxes from government employees? Can you think of a reason NOT to sell unused government property? Can you think of a reason NOT to use unused stimulus funds? Do you really think our bloated government would suffer with a 5% across the board cut in spending? DO YOU REALLY STILL THINK THE DEMOCRATS CARE ABOUT THE UNEMPLOYED? YOU? ME? Or, could it be, they're doing this and spinning it as they do - for political gain??
I don't remember those things but don't think that HuffPo will be able to jog my memory either. I will read those things later, though.
Not to worry Roy, it is simply your selective memory kicking in, it happens when you let others do all your thinking for you, I have already told you how to cure that problem.
Then i guess, Obama is repaying the favor back to all of us, MANY MANY MANY MANY TIMES OVER!
The hostages are those poor souls, who believe in the right to be owed something, when they do not earn it, those are the hostages, who believe their only way, is not to work, but go on welfare, food stamps etc. The Dem way?
No one who supports Obama and his pro-illegal labor agenda can really pretend to care about the American unemployed. Maybe you should question why with 12 million Americans out of work, that Obama just decided to give out 2 million more work visas.
