From what I understand about the effects of salvia, it is a very short, but intense trip. I personally have no desire to trip balls, which is why I've never touched shrooms, or acid. I'll stick with weed. At least I know what I'm getting with that. Should the others be legal as well? Sure. The government doesn't have the right to tell people what they can and cannot consume.
It's not just any Salvia. Specifically it is Salvia Divinorum. It was originally used by "Medicine Men" like shaman and such down around Mexico Indian Tribes (I believe) for visionary states. So it is a hallucinogen. It was a religious tool which is stupidly being used recreationally now. Some beliefs still use it as a tool under Chemognosis.
Salvia is absolutly not a party drug- it has its place though in the shamanistic way. Probably not a great thing for kids who have no psychedelic experiance. Use in a safe enviroment.
I did enjoy my pain killers when I got my nose damn near ripped off a few years back. I can understand why some folks are consuming poppy seeds by the pound in order to catch a buzz

When I was in my teens, my friend had some of this. He tried some and immidiately hit an altered state of mind. I preceded to place bunny ears over my head and scream "I'm a bunny!" I don't think it's supposed to make things comical like marijuana, but he laughed so hard for minutes that tears came out his eyes. To this day, we still laugh about that moment.
But really, I don't think this is a drug that can be demonized. None the less, there will be folks who will try.
So, I go to the local smoke shop, and there's something called Salvia being sold. I figure, why not?
After doing it once, and once again, I know exactly 'why not'...
How weed is illegal yet Salvia can be bought is beyond me. One makes you calm and relaxed, the other basically rips your whole world apart for 5 minutes.
Is there really ever a reason to smoke the crap that guy in video #1 has?
In my case, I was bored and the weed guy was taking too long.
Thought the experience would tide me over...
I've never been so shocked at what a drug actually is in my life.
