No matter what our ideology is, I think one thing we can all agree on (or at least I hope) is dog fighting and animal fighting is horrible and should be illegal.

Well Congressman Steve King of Iowa somehow doesn't, and lambasted laws against it by basically stating we don't have laws against people fighting why should we have laws against animal fighting

Quote:

KING: When the legislation that passed in the farm bill that says that it’s a federal crime to watch animals fight or to induce someone else to watch an animal fight, but it’s not a federal crime to induce somebody to watch people fighting, there’s something wrong with the priorities of people that think like that.

Plop. And there goes Iowa's hard-earned reputation as an open-minded, people-friendly state.

I would not defend animal fighting - ever.

But how do people defend people fighting?

So is he okay with animal fighting or not okay with people fighting? The quote doesn't make this clear.

holy cow people...Any more lies need to be added to this Lefties? What he said was in reference to WATCHING the fight, not conducting them! Man, you people are grossly uneducated and willful liars. It's downright disgusting.
